Al-Asmar to political leaders: Stop political bickering and form a salvation government-[REPORT]
General Labor Union head Bechara al-Asmar called on Lebanese leaders on Thursday to stop political bickering, trading accusations and quotas and form a salvation government.

“What is happening is beyond the scope of reason, so stop the policy of killing against the Lebanese people and initiate concessions immediately,” he said during the general strike called upon by the union.

"What we see today is the collapse of the educational, health, environmental and economic systems, as the minimum wage is now equal to 30 US dollars,” he went on by saying.

Al-Asmar also noted that the current situation must be addressed “jointly in order to preserve Lebanon's workers and all categories of the Lebanese people.”
“This can only be achieved with the presence of a salvation government," he added.
