PM Mikati meets Qatar Emir in Doha-[REPORT]

Prime Minister Najib Mikati met on Saturday in Doha with Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani with discussions tackling the relations between Lebanon and Qatar as well as Lebanon’s relations with the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

 

As for the negotiations with the International Monetary Fund, Mikati said that the IMF will begin next Tuesday a visit to Lebanon to complete the negotiations, hoping that after the new round of negotiations, which will last for two weeks, a preliminary agreement will be signed between Lebanon and the Fund.

 

Mikati then received Jordan's Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi to discuss the strengthening of cooperation relations between the two countries, regional developments and issues of common interest.

 

He also received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman Badr bin Muhammad al-Busaidi, and discussed with him the relations between the two countries.

 

PM Mikati then held talks with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi.
