Prime Minister Saad Hariri and Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil met Thursday with US House Speaker Paul Ryan.
Following the meeting, Hariri stressed that Hezbollah has been listed on the terror list, noting that they are trying to tackle the issue of sanctions with more accuracy.
“Our mission is to protect Lebanon and its economy,” he added.
Speaking from the Capitol, Hariri emphasized the need to protect the country from any repercussions, stressing the importance of protecting the Lebanese institutions and supporting the Lebanese Armed Forces.
During the meeting, the conferees tackled the bilateral relations, focusing on the Syrian refugee crisis and fighting terrorism.
