REPORT: Details regarding Kuwait’s letter on al-Abdeli cell and Hezbollah’s role

Kuwait said that al-Abdeli cell is a terrorist cell, linked to Lebanon’s Hezbollah, and has stores weapons in the farm in the region of al-Abdeli, adding that Kuwaiti authorities managed to arrest a number of its member on August 13, 2015.

Kuwait started revealing new evidence, as a Kuwaiti newspaper said that “the accused were receiving training in Lebanon and used to gather at the Iranian embassy in Kuwait,” noting that am Iranian diplomat working in Kuwait as well as an officer of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards were in charge of planning.

Lebanon received a letter nearly two weeks ago from the Kuwaiti government, whereby it strongly condemned what it called “Hezbollah’ involvement in terrorist acts.”

Sources form the Lebanese Foreign Ministry stressed that the Lebanese government has not ignored the letter and is currently cooperating with the Kuwaiti government and Kuwaiti Embassy in Lebanon in order to find means to deal with the matter.
