REPORT: Bassil from Paris says France and Lebanon wait for Hariri’s return
Foreign Affairs Minister Gebran Bassil asserted on Tuesday that Lebanon and France both wait for the return of Prime Minister Saad Hariri to practice his freedom as he wishes

“We want to look for solution for our problems,” Bassil added after meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris.

He also thanked Macron for his initiative that he took in order to deal with the extraordinary situation in Lebanon, adding that France expressed its readiness to do everything necessary to stand by Lebanon.

As for the relationship with Saudi Arabia, Bassil said that Lebanon is adamant on holding good relations with KSA.
Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri resigned from his post on November 4th from Saudi Arabia, citing assassination plots and Hezbollah’s policies as reasons behind his resignation.

His resignation threw the country into a political crisis.

President Macron traveled to Saudi Arabia few days after Hariri's resignation but did not meet with him.

Prior to the meeting between Macron and Bassil, Hariri said via his Twitter account that he is "fine and will return to Lebanon in the next two days."
