President Michel Aoun stressed the importance of a unified Arab stance during the upcoming period as well as the importance of the upcoming Arab summit.
Aoun’s remarks came following is meeting with Iraqi House Speaker Salim al-Jabouri, who stressed commitment to the cooperation between Lebanon and Iraq’s parliaments.
The president also met with Iraqi Vice President Iyad Allawi, who voiced keenness on boosting bilateral cooperation and resolving pending issues as well as facilitating the work of Lebanese and Iraqi businessmen.
The meeting between Aoun and Allawi was attended by several Iraqi factions.
