Libya officially declares boycott of economic summit in Beirut
Libya’s Prime Minister Fayez al-Sarraj declared on Monday that his country decided to boycott the Arab economic summit that will be held in Beirut.

Al-Sarraj voiced his regrets over “the negative acts” carried out by the host country and “prompted the Libyan government to take this decision.”

In a statement, the premier asserted that his country will boycott the summit and will refrain from participating in it after it appeared that the host country “did not provide the appropriate environment in accordance with its commitments to the customs and traditions that are adopted to hold such summits.”
