Henriette Nakhle among Honours List for New Zealand's Order of Merit
The Honorary Consul for Lebanon in New Zealand since 2017, Henriette Nakhle QSM, was recognized as a member of the New Year Honours List 2023 of the New Zealand Order of Merit.

With more than 40 years of experience in business and cultural advisory for the Lebanese people, Nakhle was honored for her extensive services to the Lebanese community.

In 2018, Mrs. Nakhle established the Lebanity Enterprise NZ Charitable Trust to preserve the Lebanese culture in New Zealand, including providing education in language and the arts.

She launched a cultural exchange between Papakura Marae and the Auckland Lebanese community, hosting the Lebanese Ambassador to Australia and New Zealand at the marae in 2020. She also led the planning of the St. Elias Melkite Catholic Church for Auckland's Lebanese and Middle Eastern communities.

Among her many works, Henriette assisted new immigrants from Lebanon and surrounding countries, helping them settle in New Zealand.

She is on the Board of the Australia New Zealand Lebanon Chamber of Commerce and Industry and President of the New Zealand chapter.

Mrs. Nakhle helped connect business leaders in New Zealand of Lebanese or Middle Eastern descent, initiating a networking platform for entrepreneurs to promote trade and tourism.
