AfD sues German intelligence agency over 'extremist' label: Spokesman

The anti-immigration Alternative for Germany (AfD) said Monday it was suing the country's domestic intelligence agency over its move last week to classify it as a "right-wing extremist" party.

An AfD spokesman said a challenge against the BfV agency's designation had been lodged with the administrative court in the western city of Cologne.
