Lebanon's national team crowned WAFF U-16 Championship title
Lebanon won the 3rd WAFF U-16 Girls Championship – Jordan 2023 title for the second time in its history after defeating Jordan 2-0 in the final at Aqaba Stadium.

Cecile Iskandar and Lea El Hage Ali scored for Lebanon in the 28th and 60th minutes, respectively.

The Lebanese national team player Cecile Iskandar received the top scorer award of the tournament with four goals, the award for the best goalkeeper went to the Lebanese player Marcel Skaiki, and the Jordanian player Arwa Batayneh received the best player award.

After the match, Jihad El Chehof, General Secretary of the Lebanese Football Association, stressed in a press interview the importance of these tournaments in raising the level of the participating teams.

It is worth noting that Lebanon topped the first-round table with 7 points, Jordan ranked second with 5 points, Palestine came third (4 points), and Bahrain was fourth without any points.

The Lebanese team holds the title of the tournament's second edition, which was held in Amman in late 2019.
