FM Bassil after meeting Hungarian counterpart: Lebanon faces existential threats
Foreign Affairs Minister Gebran Bassil received Wednesday his Hungarian counterpart Peter Szijjarto in the presence of the Hungarian ambassador to Lebanon and an accompanying delegation.

Following the meeting, Bassil expressed gratitude to Hungary for taking part in the United Nations Interim Forces In Lebanon (UNIFIL) who are contributing to maintaining peace and stability along the southern borders, despite the daily violations of Lebanon’s sovereignty committed by Israeli forces.

On another note, Bassil said that they also tackled the growing concerns raised by two challenges faced by both countries, the flow of Syrian refugees and the spread of international terrorism.

In this regard, the conferees discussed the repercussions of massive immigration and means to handle the current situation.
