REPORT: Closer look on battle of Al-Malikiyya between Lebanon, Israel

Al-Malikiyya was located in the Jabal Amil region. In a 1920s census, the village was registered as part of Greater Lebanon until 1923 when the final borders were drawn between Lebanon and Palestine.

 

Al-Malikiyya changed hands no fewer than five times between May and October 1948.

 

The Lebanese army participated in fierce battles against the Israelis in this region and managed to defeat them.
