MP Sami Gemayel says 1960 vote law ruins apt representation of Christians
Kataeb party leader MP Sami Gemayel said on Monday that holding the parliamentary elections based on the 1960 electoral law will “ruin” the apt representation of the Christians.

Gemayel’s comments were made during a press conference whereby he stressed that the Kataeb party will stand beside President Michel Aoun in any step that aims at approving a new vote law.

He also noted that his party is ready to take part in any parliamentary session, mainly after some sides refused to participate in any session that does not include the new vote law on its agenda.
