Kremlin says there is no progress made to release Russians held by Hamas

The Kremlin announced on Tuesday that no progress has been made so far in the release of the Russians who were kidnapped by Hamas during its attack on Israel on October 7.

Russia has had relations with the Palestinian movement for years and does not consider it "terrorist," unlike the United States. However, Moscow does not accurately know the number of Russian citizens held by the Islamic movement.

Dmitry Peskov, Press Secretary for the Russian Presidency, told journalists: "At the moment, we have not succeeded in releasing the hostages, but we will continue these efforts."

He added: "We are concerned about our citizens. We currently do not have precise information about when and how they can be released, nor their exact number," refusing to predict this.
