في اليوم الأخير من رحلته الفضائيّة صوّر رائد الفضاء "تيري فيرتس" أهرامات مصر من محطّة الفضاء. ويعمل فيتس في وكالة الفضاء الدولية ناسا وانطلقت رحلته في شهر نوفمبر 2014.
"محطّة الفضاء الدّوليّة" تدور حول الأرض بسرعة 27600 كم بالسّاعة، ما يعطي فيتس فرصة ضئيلة لتحديد موقع المعالم وتصويرها. ولكنّه تمكّن من تصوير الأهرامات بالإضافة الى جبل أرارات والبحيرة نّصف المتجمّدة في الصّين وقام بنشر الصّورعلى موقع تويتر.
