Prime Minister Najib Mikati cast his vote at eight o'clock in the morning on Sunday at Hassan al-Hajje High School in Tripoli, accompanied by his wife May and his son Malek.
After casting his vote, Mikati declared, "The state, in all its entities, is mobilized to achieve this democratic election. God willing, things will go well."
"The morning turnout is good," he stressed, adding "the importance of providing electricity to polling stations at night."
Mikati called "the Lebanese to choose the best and whoever they see fit," stressing that "the state prepared for this entitlement and recruited 100,000 men," praising "all the efforts that have been made and will be made by judges, officials and security personnel," hoping "that the coming days will bring goodness to Lebanon."
