Sources from March 8 forces told LBCI that agreement has been reached over appointing 6 Sunni ministers in the future cabinet, adding that the President Michel Aoun and PM-designate Saad Hariri agreed that one Sunni minister will be within Aoun’s share and one Christian minister within Hariri’s share.
The source noted that Amal Movement is holding on to the Finance Ministry while Hezbollah is requesting the Health Ministry, adding that “there is no deal to give the Marada Movement any of the three ministries they requested.”
As for the Lebanese Forces, the source said that negotiations are underway in this regard, stating that the LF might be given the justice, education and agriculture ministries, as well as a fourth one.
“Isaam Fares, or his son, could be named as deputy prime minister,” the source said, pointing out that the Progressive Socialist Party is holding on to its share, while none of the other forces are prepared to fight for Arslan.
