Mohammad Mrad, who was subject to a shooting in the region of Batroun when he was returning to his house in the town of Ras Nhash, told LBCI on Friday that his injuries were minor.
In the details, at around 11:00 pm on Thursday, Mrad was heading from the highway toward the seaside road in the town of al-Heri, where gunshots were fired at him, causing his vehicle to catch fire. He managed to jump out of the car before the flames destroyed it.
He was then transported to Batroun hospital to receive first aid treatment, but he was soon discharged.
Mrad is a prominent businessman in Saudi Arabia and the son of Kamil Mrad, who owns the land on which the Terbol landfill was established.
Speaking to LBCI website, he stressed the need for the judicial procedures to rake their course until the investigations into the incident end.
