Dozens of protesters gathered outside the municipal palace in the northern city of Tripoli, voicing support for Tripoli Mayor Riad Yamak and the members of the municipal council for meeting the people’s demands, the National News Agency reported.
The protesters stressed the need to fight corruption through the municipality, by removing all violations against public properties, mainly “Azmi Square café”.
For his part, Yamak, who met with the protesters, stressed the municipality’s commitment to remove all violations and to reopen said café’s file.
