Minister of Health: Field hospitals will be distributed in all Beirut

Health Minister Hamad Hassan visited on Thursday the Russian field hospital in the Sports City in Beirut.

He noted that Russia’s speed of intervention and the establishment of the field hospital are very remarkable.

He said: “Within 48 hours, small operations will be carried out for some of the wounded.”

Hassan added that a number of Arab and European embassies and health ministers contacted and extended a helping hand to Lebanon.

He reiterated: “Since yesterday, aircraft carrying aid from Turkey, Kuwait, Iran, Qatar and France began arriving to Beirut, and coordination is being made between the Ministry of Health and the Lebanese Army.”

“Field hospitals will be distributed in all Beirut to facilitate the arrival of the wounded and to secure the necessary medical treatment,” he said.
