UN Security Council: Lebanon should dissociate itself from regional crisis

The United Nations Security Council called on the Lebanese people to dissociate themselves from the regional crisis in order to preserve Lebanon’s stability and to respect its sovereignty and unity.

The Security Council also welcomed the Prime Minister Saad Hariri’s revocation of his resignation and his return to Lebanon, reiterating its support to Lebanon’s stability and sovereignty.

It also voiced gratitude for Lebanon hosting the Syrian refugees, noting that the return of the refugees to their country must respect the International law.
