Esquire Middle East, the region's leading men's magazine has issued its list of 40 Arabs playing a pivotal role in changing the film and TV industry.

 

The magazine highlighted Arab talents working in the Middle East and the diaspora who have helped put the region's films on the global radar.

 

The list includes actors, producers, and directors from different nationalities, including three Lebanese women: Razane Jammal, Nadine Labani, and Dania Bdeir.

 
 

The Lebanese-British actress has been in the industry for more than a decade. After wide success with Ramadan's series "Embratoriyet Meen" in 2014, she caught a big international break with "Paranormal" on Netflix in 2020, an Ahmed Khaled Tawfik supernatural book series adaptation.

 

Jammal also entered the DC Comics universe, which elevated her position in the industry.

 

Nadine Labaki: Actor and Director, Lebanese

 

As an award-winning director, Nadine Labaki made three full-length features, including "Caramel." Her 2018 film "Capernaum," which highlights poverty in Lebanon, was also nominated for an Oscar’s.

 

As an actress, Nadine starred in Netflix's hit "Perfect Strangers" and has won many prestigious awards for her diverse work.

 
 

Dania Bdeir's "Warsha" Has been gaining attention screening in international film festivals. The film won the Jury Award at Sundance Film Festival and was shortlisted for an Academy Award.
