Assir claimed that his prison cell's cramped conditions have negatively impacted his health and psychological well-being, and asked to be moved from the Rihaniyeh prison in Baabda.
The Internal Security Forces’ General Directorate arrested Assir last August for being involved in deadly clashes that resulted in the deaths of 19 army troops.
