With regard to the issue of the medicine card, Joe Salloum President of the Pharmacists Orders explained that “every Lebanese patient will note what his illness is, and what medication he needs. Assuming that there are 1,000 patients registered as needing medication, and their cost is $10,000, aid will be provided, and half of the cost will be covered. The greater the value of the aid, the greater the cost that will be covered," stressing that "all countries are ready to help us."
In an interview with LBCI, Salloum stressed that "today, the medical sector cannot go on strike completely because we do not accept the humiliation of our patients," and he said: "Let us lift subsidies and secure direct support to the citizen through the medicine card."
