REPORT: Makhzoumi condemns attack on his campaign office

The media office of candidate Fouad Makhzoumi condemned on Monday the shooting on his campaign office in the Beirut region of Qasqas.

 

He called on everyone to engage in the parliamentary polls "in a democratic and civilized way.”

 

Makhzoumi also urged the Ministry of Interior to play its role in safeguarding the polls.

He concluded by saying that such attacks do not represent Beirut’s citizens, calling on everyone to maintain self-control and to stay away from provocations.

 

Makhzoumi’s campaign office was shot at by unknown persons. The attack comes just week before the parliamentary polls.
