Long queues at filling stations in Sidon
The southern city of Sidon has been experiencing traffic jams at filling station entrances since last night, due to reports of a gasoline shortage and a lack of funds to import it.

Cars have been queuing at filling stations since early Wednesday morning, while stations have closed their doors.

Later in the day, Gas Station Owners’ Syndicate member George Al-Brax affirmed in an interview with the state-run "National News Agency" that gasoline was available in warehouses and on ships at sea.

“We are not suffering from a fuel crisis in Lebanon; the issue has to do with some delay in completing USD exchange transactions for importing companies and it must be resolved quickly,” he said.

“Companies are distributing gasoline in limited quantities, but some stations have cut off supplies due to a delay in gasoline deliveries,” Brax concluded.
