Israel files complaint against Lebanon, breaches border to install satellite dish and camera control center

Israel submitted an official complaint against Lebanon to the United Nations after rockets fired from the Lebanese territories struck Israel on Sunday.    

Israel’s permanent representative to the Security Council, Ron Prosor, urged the International Community to intervene in light of what he described as an escalation, accusing Hezbollah of deploying thousands of rockets and missiles in and around south Lebanon’s communities contrary to international law.                    

On Monday, Israeli forces proceeded to open the border gate at the Udaysseh entrance where it installed a satellite dish and a camera control center amid the high alert of the Lebanese Armed Forces and the UNIFIL.                         

It is worth noting that the Army Command - Orientation Directorate issued on Friday a statement in which it said that “a military aircraft belonging to the Israeli enemy violated the Lebanese airspace over the town of Aitaroun, and circled above various Lebanese regions, then left the atmosphere at 17.00 from above Alma Shaab town."       

Israeli forces often breach Lebanon's airspace and conduct mid to high altitude flights over the country.
