Tensions erupt in Tripoli's Syria Street on backdrop of Arsal's attack

Unknown armed men shot on Friday citizens Taleb Assi and Ahmad Eid in Tripoli's al-Qobbeh.

They were all transferred to Our lady of Zgharta Hospital, however
citizen Taleb Assi died soon after.

This as tensions erupted in Syria's street in the northern city of Tripoli, mainly between Bab al-Tebbaneh and Jabal Mohsen neighborhoods.

Gunshots were heard as well as Inerga-type rockets were launched on al Omari axis and al-Nasiri mosque.

Meanwhile, Tripoli’s Malouleh road was opened after being blocked with burning tires in solidarity with residents of Arsal.

Six rockets hit on Friday the al-Shakf neighborhood in the border town of Arsal, killing 7 persons including 5 children and wounding 7 others.

The victims were identified as Mohammad, Mahmoud, Yara, and Adla Hjairi, Omar Abdel Menhem Hjairi, and Hassan Mohammad Ezzeddine.

A security source confirmed to LBCI that the rockets were launched from the Syrian side.
