Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil presented a draft law to the government aiming at achieving equality between men and women, allowing women to pass nationality to their children, just like men, with the exception of the neighboring countries, in a bid to prevent resettlement.
Speaking from the Foreign Ministry, Bassil stressed that the Introduction of the Constitution prevents resettlement, noting that the state is committed to the right of the Palestinians and Syrians to return to their countries.
The minister pointed out that they presented a series of measures, including one to restore nationality for those of Lebanese origins, given that the law that was passed is incomplete, stressing that they are working on submitting amendments.
