Al-Hassan: We are waiting for results of SLT’s investigations

Interior Minister Rayya Al-Hassan asserted on Friday that the Special Tribunal for Lebanon is carrying out its role, adding that the results of investigations must be awaited.

The minister’s comments were made during an interview with Euronews whereby she stressed the need to reveal the real culprit “because we are determined to clarify the truth.”

As for being the first female to occupy the Interior Ministry, al-Hassan said that there is no problem in assuming such a post.

“It is a unique experience that must be applied in other ministries,” she added.

She also noted that a number of reforms are being carried out in several fields.

She concluded by asserting that every woman who is subject to domestic violence must find a formal destination to resort to.
