Telecommunications Minister Mohammad Choucair said that not a word of truth was said during the recent press conference held by MP Jamil al-Sayyed, noting that the three companies he mentioned in the issue of mobile phone services are respectful. “Leave the Telecom Ministry alone,” Choucair said, criticizing the constant targeting of successful and productive institutions in Lebanon.
In a statement to LBCI’s Nharkom Said, the minister stressed that the Telecom Ministry’s door is open for everyone.
Minister Choucair pointed out that the Telecom Ministry has become the concern of several political parties since the formation of the cabinet, stating that the ministry always cooperates with the Telecom committee and provides all information requested.
Addressing those who target the ministry, he urged them to focus their efforts elsewhere, since his ministry is productive and on the right path.
Commenting on the communications prices, Choucair said that the prices in Lebanon are high and their reduction depends on a decision from the cabinet.
