Sahnaoui to LBC: Faster internet for lower prices starting Saturday
The Minister of Telecommunication Nicolas Sahnaoui said that the internet in Lebanon will be faster starting Saturday, October 1st 2011 while its costs will decline by 80% so it can be affordable for all the Lebanese.

Sahnaoui told Kalam Ennas TV show on LBC that until now he did not meet with the Director General of OGERO Abdel-Menhem Youssef, adding that there are 6 lawsuits against Youssef on corruption charges as well as maintaining a public and private position at the same time, which blatantly breaches the Working Law in Lebanon.

Sahnaoui added that the Ministry of Telecommunication did not send its budget to the Ministry of Finance for certain Finance Ministers, deliberately, sought to hinder its progress.

Asked about the 3rd generation internet (3G), Sahnaoui said that this facility will be provided to all Lebanese starting February 2012, adding that he will unveil the prices during an upcoming press conference on the 20th of October.

Sahnaoui pointed out that the Blackberry registration will be 27$ per month instead of 40 and that Kalam Cards will be soon available in all Liban Post offices.
