Exceptions made during festive season in Mar Mikhael canceled
The Ministry of Tourism announced on Thursday that based on the statement issued by the parliamentary and religious meeting held with the locals in the Mar Mikhael and Gemmayzeh area, the ministry is stressing its keenness on the comfort of the residents.  

The caretaker Minister of Tourism, Walid Nassar, pointed out that the exceptions given to tourism establishments during the festive period were automatically canceled at the beginning of the new year.  

Stressing the need for all institutions to adhere to laws and rules agreed upon to ensure the comfort of the people and to avoid any problems or inconvenience against them, "knowing that we are very keen to protect tourism institutions and investors in the area, and to protect the tourist movement that reflects the beautiful image of it."  

Minister Nassar instructed the Tourism Police Department to cooperate and coordinate with the concerned security agencies and the Beirut Governorate to suppress violations and take legal action against any institution that does not comply with the conditions and laws.
