Speaker Nabih Berri offers condolences over killing of journalist Amal Khalil

Lebanon’s Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri has offered his condolences over the killing of journalist Amal Khalil.

For this purpose, he made a phone call to the family of the slain journalist Amal Khalil, as well as to the editor-in-chief of Al-Akhbar newspaper, Ibrahim al-Amine, expressing his condolences and strongly condemning what he described as a premeditated crime committed by Israeli forces against the media and free speech.

Berri denounced the attack, which targeted journalist Amal Khalil and her colleague Zeinab Faraj, calling it a violation of journalists and the press.
