Jordan condemns Israeli forces' raid on Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza, citing international law violations

Amid the intensifying conflict in the Gaza Strip, especially the recent unfolding events, the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned, in a statement on Wednesday, the Israeli occupation forces for raiding the Al-Shifa Hospital.

The Ministry considered it a violation of international humanitarian law, especially the Geneva Conventions on the protection of civilian persons in time of war of 1949. 

It held Israel responsible for the safety of civilians and medical staff working in the hospital.
