The residents of the Bekaa town of Nahle gathered to welcome the convoy transporting the bodies of the family of six, who were killed in the Grenfell Tower fire in London five months ago.
The members of the Choucair family were identified as Bassem Taan Coucair, his wife Nadia and three daughters Mirna, 14, Fatma, 11 and Zainab 3, as well as Nadia’s mother.
Prayers were held by the Mufti of Baalbek and Bekaa Sheikh Khalil Choucair.
The Grenfell Tower caught fire in June, where at least 80 people were killed.
