The city of Beirut eternalized the prominent Lebanese doctor Roy Nasnas at Yesouieh sector (27), Street 56 in Beirut, which now bears the name of Professor Roy Nasnas, who died at the age of 67 last April after struggling with illness.
His son Patrice Nasnas expressed that the street was renamed in his father’s memory to acknowledge his profound impact on the national level, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic.
“I can’t even express how proud I am to bear your name, dad thanks to the municipality of Beirut who made this possible,” Patrice concluded.
It is worth noting that Dr. Roy Nasnas became a leading figure during the pandemic. Nasnas, Head of the Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases Department at the Lebanese Hospital Geitaoui, was among the first doctors to appear in the media to discuss the deadly disease.
