In an act of clear provocation, unidentified persons who call themselves “The Kuwaiti Team of Hackers”, hacked the website of the Lebanese Parliament (www.lp.gov.lb) and posted the photo of Sheikh of Bilal Ben Rabah Mosque Ahmad al-Assir on the main page.

Alongside Sheikh Assir’s image, hackers posted a message demonizing both Syrian President Bachar Assad and Hezbollah.

Al-Assir denied via LBCI any relation to this incident, stressing that he kindly asked the hackers to take back their actions.

In this context, the General Secretariat of the Parliament clarified that the Parliament's concerned administration sought to address the issue and will legally prosecute the hackers.
