Netanyahu: Israeli army thwarted “invasion threat” from southern Lebanon

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday that his forces had neutralized an “invasion threat” posed by Hezbollah fighters, in a video released by his office, which he said was filmed during a visit to southern Lebanon.

In the recorded message, Netanyahu—seen wearing a black bulletproof vest and surrounded by masked soldiers—said that “the war is ongoing, including within the security zone in Lebanon,” adding that “what we are seeing is that we have eliminated an invasion threat from Lebanon through this security zone.”
