Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah stressed that “abstention from voting is giving up on responsibility and leaving the fate of the nation and the people to the unknown on all levels,” noting that Hezbollah does not enter a competition over preferential vote, but sees the “Hope and Loyalty” list as his list and will work on make it successful.
During a ceremony held Nabatieh on Sunday, Nasrallah said that the political immunization of the resistance happens through a strong presence in the parliament and the government in order to “break all the arms that try to steal Lebanon’s wealth.”
While he said that he joins other officials who said that the country is not bankrupt, Nasrallah noted that Lebanon will head toward bankruptcy if the political work continues as it was in the past.
“We will fight against any new taxes that will imposed on the poor and low-income people even if we had to take to the streets,” he stated.
