Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil declared Thursday that he signed a draft law to change the name of the Foreign Ministry to become “Ministry of the Foreign Affairs, the diaspora and international cooperation.”
In the launching of the 5th edition of the Lebanese Diaspora Energy conference, Bassil noted that he will present a proposal to amend the decree pertaining to the restoration of the nationality, stressing that he will fight to increase the number of deputies representing the expatriates.
He also revealed that he will present a draft law to establish the national diaspora council.
