President Michel Aoun stressed that the independence of the judicial authority does not justify the obstruction of justice.
During a meeting with the head of the Supreme Judicial Council Judge Jean Fahed and heads of courts of cassation, Aoun said that the continuation of the strike staged by judges affects the authority of the judiciary and the rights of the people.
The president called for resolving the current situation, adding that many benefits remain in the budget and “this opposition movement has become unjustifiable.”
