Kataeb: We are paying the price of surrender to Hezbollah, priority to elections

The Kataeb Political Bureau stressed on Wednesday that the Saudi-Lebanon rift is not the result of recent events and is not summed up in the comments of the Minister of Information, but rather is the result of concessions and bargains made by the system that led up to a total surrender to the will of Hezbollah.

The Political Bureau saw that Hezbollah, after controlling the political decision in the country, began implementing its agenda by isolating Lebanon from the world, and changing its historical face, with the aim of using it as a negotiation card.

The Kataeb Party rejected the logic of complying to Hezbollah’s attempt to seize the state, considering that the immediate solution to restore Lebanon from the rule of the militia and the complicity of the Mafia is to give absolute priority to the election process through international protection that secures a peaceful transfer of power, so it is not evaded by delays, or appeals.

The party pointed out that the Lebanese, in Lebanon and abroad, have a great responsibility to choose national, sovereign representatives who are competent and capable of presenting a serious alternative to building a new Lebanon.

The Bureau called on the diaspora to register massively to secure a great voter turnout that would allow to turn the tables.
