Boueiz to LBCI: Western pressures against Syria are not for democracy

Former Minister Fayez Boueiz told Nharkom Said TV show that the subjects raised by U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon are nothing new, adding that he came personally to Lebanon instead of sending a representative because of the regional turmoil.

Boueiz stressed that the U.S. and European pressures against the Syrian regime are not for democratic purposes, adding that the U.S. administration supports dictatorship regimes all over the world. Boueiz said that such pressure aims at dismantling the Syrian-Iranian axe.
