REPORT: Nasrallah says all indications point to Israel in Sidon bombing
Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah delivered on Friday a televised speech.

In his speech, Nasrallah said that the bomb that targeted a Hamas member in the southern region of Sidon is “a dangerous beginning,” adding that it is “not possible to be silent about it."

"All indications" pointed to Israel,” he stressed.

A bomb blast wounded a member of the Palestinian group Hamas in the Lebanese city of Sidon on Sunday, destroying his car as he was about to get in.

The target, Mohamed Hamdan, was not a publicly known Hamas figure in Lebanon.

A statement from Hamas, the Islamist group that controls Gaza, confirmed he was a member of the group, without detailing his role, and said “initial indications” suggested Israel was behind the bombing.

There was no immediate comment from Israel.

As for the parliamentary elections, Nasrallah said that “no one in Lebanon wants to postpone the polls.”

Turning to the screening of “The Post” movie in Lebanese cinemas, Nasrallah said that the movie’s director Steven Spielberg “has supported the Israeli aggression on Lebanon and paid from his personal money to support Israel.”

“How a movie directed by him can be screened in Lebanon?” he added.

Last Wednesday, Minister of Interior Nouhad Machnouq signed a decision permitting the screening of “The Post” movie in Lebanese cinemas, the latest movie by acclaimed Hollywood director Steven Spielberg.

The censorship committee had previously revealed that Spielberg made a $1 million donation to Israel during the 2006 conflict with Lebanon.

However, since 2006 until today, 21 movies by Spielberg were screened in Lebanese theaters, and since 2010, 15 of his movies were screened.

The Post, starring Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks, is a drama about the Washington Post’s Katharine Graham, the first female publisher of a major American newspaper, and editor Ben Bradlee, as they expose a massive cover-up of government secrets that spanned three decades.

On another note, Nasrallah said that the US accusations of Hezbollah’s drug trafficking are “unfair and baseless.”

“These accusations are a part of the war launched against Hezbollah,” Nasrallah added.
