Speaker Nabih Berri stressed that the electoral lists of hope and loyalty do not represent an electoral monopoly, but the opposite is true.
During his meeting with popular crowds at his residence in Mseileh, Berri said that “if it were true, the lists would have won uncontested.”
On another note, Berri received a phone call from Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, where they discussed the latest developments on the Palestinian scene in light of the Palestinian counter escalation in Gaza Strip, as well as the importance of unifying the Palestinian stance.
Berri also received a phone call from Speaker of the Kuwaiti National Assembly Marzouq Al-Ghanim.
