Hariri laments Libya not attending upcoming summit in Beirut
Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri lamented on Wednesday Libya’s absence from the upcoming economic summit in Beirut.
“The brotherly relations between the countries must rise above all frictions,” Hariri said during a televised speech at the Arab Private Sector Forum at Beirut’s Union of Arab Chambers.
He also voiced hopes that the summit would be successful and “produce practical recommendations that activate the cooperation in order to raise the living conditions of Arab citizens in all their countries.”
“Many countries states started to understand that the Arab world is a wealth,” he stressed.
“We just need to invest in it,” Hariri added.
On another note, Hariri said that “the woman is half of the society,” adding that she must be represented in both politics and economy.
