Mikati to LBCI: we are keen on finalizing the ranks and salaries series issue

The Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati said on Sunday that he is keen on the finalizing the ranks and salaries series issue and committed to financing it through installments according to the law effective as of 1-7-2012.

Mikati added that the law was not referred to the parliament to be ratified.

The prime minister told LBCI that "there is no spending without incomes", stressing that the economic influence of the income should be studied on the economic and social levels.

“What is the purpose of the strike and the escalatory measures when we are committed to our agreement?”, Mikati concluded.
