Judge Oueidat decides not to charge Ghosn over Israel trip in 2008
Prosecutor General Ghassan Oueidat decided on Tuesday not to charge former Nissan chairman Carlos Ghosn for visiting Israel in 2008.

Oueidat’s step comes after three lawyers: Hassan Bazzi, Jad Tohme and Ali Abbas filed in January a motion against Ghosn for entering Israel as Renault-Nissan chairman in 2008.

"Prosecutor General Ghassan Oueidat decided not to prosecute Ghosn for the crimes attributed to him of entering the enemy's country and dealing with it economically because a statute of limitations of ten years passed since the alleged crime," a judicial source told AFP.
