Families of Beirut Blast victims mark 6-month anniversary with silent protest

The families of Beirut Port blast victims carried out on Thursday a silent protest at the entrance to the port marking the passage of 6 months since the blast.

They brandished pictures of the martyrs and signs calling for the non-politicization of investigations into the causes behind the explosion.

They also pushed for holding accountable those responsible for importing and storing ammonium nitrate at the port and the need to swiftly unearth the truth.

The protest witnessed the broadcast of sad classical music, church bells ringing, and calls to prayer.
